Mission Lodge
Mission Lodge is a premier fly-out fishing destination in the heart of Bristol Bay. Located on the shores of Lake Aleknagik, they offer superb access to fishing all five species of Pacific salmon seasonally, along with native species like Dolly Varden and Lake Trout. With three decades worth of experience and luxury accommodations, they craft unforgettable trips.
Fishing
Mission Lodge offers guided fishing for all five Pacific salmon species along with trout, Arctic char, grayling, Dolly Varden and pike in remote, pristine waters accessed by daily floatplane trips. Experienced guides tailor each outing using various techniques. Fishing may involve walk-and-wade, drifting, boat-based casting, or a combination depending on location and mobility. Salmon can be kept in limited amounts and processed on-site. Native species are catch-and-release, emphasizing both variety and conservation.
For non-angling guests or in addition to fishing, Mission Lodge offers a wide range of activities that showcase the natural beauty and wildlife of Alaska’s Bristol Bay, including scenic flightseeing tours over volcanoes, rivers, and glaciers, guided bear viewing trips to places like Katmai National Park, and opportunities for hiking and exploring alpine landscapes. Guests can also experience local wildlife and cultural elements of the region, from spotting moose and eagles to learning about Native heritage.
Accommodations
Mission Lodge provides upscale, private accommodations designed for comfort. Options range from single and double rooms to couples’ suites with private bathrooms. The exclusive Owners’ Suite offers two bedrooms, private baths, a separate entrance, and a balcony overlooking Lake Aleknagik. Rooms feature cozy furnishings and scenic views, and guests can also enjoy shared amenities like a lakeside deck, lounge and dining area, recreation facilities, a dedicated tackle room, and spa features including massage services, creating a balance of luxury and relaxation after each day’s adventure. Each evening their culinary team crafts a multi-course meal.
