Kulik Lodge
Kulik Lodge is in the heart of Katmai National Park and Preserve. Established in 1950, walking, jet boat rides, or float planes will take guests to some of the best Rainbow Trout fishing in the world. There is also the opportunity to target all five species of Pacific salmon. Private guest cabins, along with a sauna and outdoor hot tubs, provide guests with a comfortable place to unwind after fishing.
Fishing
Kulik Lodge is centrally located in Alaska’s Katmai National Park, giving anglers immediate access to exceptional home waters as well as a vast network of remote rivers, lakes, and creeks across the Bristol Bay watershed. This strategic access allows guests to target a wide variety of species throughout the season (mid-June to late September), from resident fish such as rainbow trout, Arctic grayling, lake trout, Arctic char, Dolly Varden, and northern pike, to all five Pacific salmon species, each available at different peak times. Fishing methods and locations are adjusted daily based on timing, conditions, and angler preference to maximize opportunities across these highly productive and varied fisheries.
For non-angler guests or in addition to fishing Kulik Lodge offers phenomenal wildlife viewing, including options to view brown bears at Brooks Falls.
Accommodations
Kulik Lodge offers comfortable, well-appointed accommodations that balance remote wilderness with modern amenities, centering around a historic main lodge built from native spruce where guests gather in a warm atmosphere featuring a large stone fireplace. Steps away, guests stay in private, standalone cabins, with features like heat, electricity, WiFi access, and private bathrooms with hot showers.. Despite its isolated setting in Katmai National Park, the lodge emphasizes comfort with thoughtful touches such as a sauna, outdoor hot tubs overlooking the surrounding landscape, and chef-prepared meals, creating a relaxed yet refined basecamp that accommodates around two dozen guests across multiple cabins.
